Ever read through a sexy short story and thought, “I’d like to do that!” In this monthly writing group, you can try your hand at some explicit erotic writing.
Come together with a fun and supportive group of writers and dive into your own sexy and surprising new writing! This group is designed to leave you more confident with sexual language, erotic expression, and your own writing practice. You’ll receive immediate and concrete feedback about what’s already working (and hot!) in your writing, and will leave with several new pieces of work.
Don’t be surprised if you find, as have previous participants, that you’re more comfortable discussing your own sexual desires after practicing writing about fictional sex! Bring your notebooks or laptops and your most open mind.
Unless otherwise noted, this group meets on the fourth Saturday of the month. Fee for this group is $25-50, sliding scale. Limited to 10 writers!
Your Dirty Words playdate mistress will be Jen Cross, founder of Writing Ourselves Whole and co-facilitator of the Erotic Reading Circle, who has been leading erotic writing groups since 2002. She tours nationally with the Body Heat queer femme porn tour, and her work has been widely published; find her writing in Women in Lust, The Healing Art of Writing 2010, Visible: A Femmethology (Vol. 1), Best Sex Writing 2008, Nobody Passes, and Naughty Spanking Stories A-Z 2
