Pens scribbling fast at at Writing the Flood“I love the voices of every writer. Truly, I have been deeply fed by drinking in what others write. (I have thoroughly enjoyed writing too). I love this format and the safety created by your presence, heart, group structure, and everyone participating.”
– A Write Whole participant

Writing Ourselves Whole exists in the service of transforming the previously unlanguaged or unspeakable into art, and creating communities in which individuals may undo isolation and celebrate the artist/writer within.

Current workshop offerings include a quarterly group for survivors of trauma, a monthly drop-in, general topic writing group, an erotic writing group for queer women survivors of sexual trauma, an advanced project/manuscript working group, and online survivors/sexuality writing groups

All workshops use the AWA workshop method, and are facilitated by Jen Cross, who has been working with trauma survivors for more than fifteen years, and who, as a trauma survivor herself, has used writing practice (both alone and in community) to transform her relationship with her sexuality and her creative life!
